The Rotary Club of Woy Woy has made significant contributions to the Peninsula community over the years, ranging from the construction of physical community assets, the provisional of financial and material support for school programs, charitable organisations, and community, sporting, and social clubs. If you are aware of a genuine need within the community, are passionate about making a difference within the community, or just like to help others, contact us.
Rotary also conducts a number of Recognition programs designed to highlight and recognise others who exemplify ‘service above self’. If you would like to nominate someone who you think deserves to be recognised, or would like to learn more about these programs, contact us.

ANZAC Dawn Service
Held at the Woy Woy Memorial Park and Cenotaph on Brickwharf Road, the ANZAC Dawn Service is one of the Peninsula’s most significant commemorative events. The service brings together veterans, service organisations, schools and community members to honour the sacrifice and service of Australian and New Zealand military personnel.
Each year, we welcome volunteers to help us distribute commemorative candles to attendees as they arrive for the Service. Then stay and pay your respects to past and present military personnel. If you would like to volunteer to help at the next ANZAC service, or would just like more information, please contact us.

Community Service Awards
The Rotary Community Service Awards recognise individuals, groups or organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to improving the quality of life within the local community. These awards celebrate selfless service, dedication and leadership, while highlighting the positive impact that volunteers and community champions have on the lives of others. They also encourage a culture of community involvement and service above self.
If you are aware of an individual, group or organisation that is making a difference in our local community let us know. Send us a note via our Contact form and we will get back to you.

Emergency Services Community Awards
Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards (RESCA) ask the Community to help us recognise outstanding Community Service performed by paid and volunteer members of Emergency Service Agencies.
Emergency Service Personnel can be nominated by a colleague, family and any members of the community. Panels of independent judges will then assess nominees on three (3) key criteria:
- Community service over and above the call of normal duties which best exemplifies Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self (i.e. community involvement when they are not working in their normal roles).
- Personal attributes
- Contribution to their organisation

Vocational Excellence Awards
The Rotary Vocational Excellence Awards recognise individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement, professionalism and integrity in their chosen vocation or profession. The awards celebrate excellence in the workplace, innovation and a commitment to high ethical standards and customer service. They also highlight the important role that skilled and dedicated people play in strengthening businesses, organisations and the wider community.
If you would like to nominate someone who you think deserves to be recognised, or would like to learn more about this program, please contact us.
